Welcome

Do you love history? Do you enjoy learning about your ancestors and American heritage? Would you like to leave a legacy of service and family history to your loved ones?

You have come to the right place! We are delighted that you are here and are interested in learning about the Asbury Station Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR).  We are always honored to share information with those who are interested in the DAR, and we continually look for new opportunities to promote DAR objectives within our local community. Our members are committed to promoting historic preservation, education, and patriotism year-round! We are enthusiastic about our volunteer activities and are proud to make a difference in the lives of our community, state, and country

In addition to our monthly meetings, our chapter sponsors educational awards and scholarships. We honor our revolutionary ancestors, recognize outstanding citizens in our area, and help educate youth about our Constitution and its importance. We support Crossnore Communities for Children, a DAR-approved school in western North Carolina that helps at-risk youth and serves veterans in need through the Veterans Life Center in Butner, North Carolina and much more!

Each member of our chapter is a direct descendant of a Patriot of the American Revolutionary War. And we can help you on your journey of proving lineage to your Patriot!

Our chapter sponsors an annual Basket Bazaar and luncheon event that raises money for our veterans and DAR schools.

We were proud to sponsor a national award for outstanding research and preservation of an African American cemetery in Cary.

Asbury Station Chapter, NSDAR, partners with local schools to enhance students’ understanding of the U.S. Constitution and colonial life.
